Some more eReaders dubbed Kobo Touch, Glo and Aura HD have made their way into India along with the Arc tablet just in time for the holiday season. The devices that give tough competition to the Amazon Kindle lineup are now up for grabs in the subcontinent. Interested users can head over to any leading retail outlet including Croma, WHSmith and Crossword to lay their hands on them.

The Arc tablet which is an arch rival of the Kindle Fire shows off a 7-inch touchscreen and makes the most of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS. It is available in variants with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB onboard memory and employs a dual core 1.5GHz processor as well as 1GB of RAM. This tablet starts at Rs 11,999.

The Aura HD is the biggest eReader in this particular lineup as it offers a multi-touch real estate of 6.8 inches. Its e-ink display can render visuals in 1440 x 1080p and it boasts of the ComfortLight technology which facilitates reading at night. A 1GHz processor and 4GB of RAM can be found under the hood and the gadget coughs up the juice for around 2 months. It sets you back by Rs 14,000.

Moreover, the Kobo Touch is a 6-inch eReader with 2GB internal memory that is expandable by up to 32GB. You can expect the e-ink display to deliver a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and it can be yours for an affordable price of Rs 8000. As far as the Glo is concerned, it too has a 6-inch screen, but it takes advantage of the Pearl e-ink technology. There’s ComfortLight, a 1GHz processor, 2GB memory and an expansion slot amongst other things. Rs 11,000 is what you will have to pay for it.
