iPod nano 7th generation croons its way out

Vying for attention beside the iPhone 5 and the iPod touch fifth generation is the freshly disclosed iPod nano 7th generation. According to the company, this newest music player has been ‘reinvented,’ which means fans can expect a lot of enhancements.

To start things off, the gadget flaunts a 2.5-inch multi-touch display to enable convenient surfing of songs on its surface. A dedicated home button takes potential users back to the homescreen quickly, while other controls to adjust the volume, play and pause are part of the show as well.

New Apple Music Player

Built within a profile measuring not more than 5mm in thickness, the new-fangled device is advertised to incorporate the largest display ever in an iPod nano. It provides more room to browse videos, images and music files. Another added advantage of the new generation iDevice is its integrated Bluetooth technology.

The wireless connectivity enables usability with other compatible peripherals, in-vehicle systems and speakers to experience audio while on the move or indoors. It is claimed to proffer music and radio playback for approximately 30 hours that’s apparently the longest for any of the nanos released so far. Its built-in fitness attribute drags along Nike+ support and a pedometer to listen to music comfortably while on the treadmill or walking or engaging in any other activity.

iOS Gadget

The iPod nano 7th generation is equipped with a new Lightning connector that is said to be smarter and more durable than its previous counterparts. This component shows off an adaptive interface that understands the signals each accessory requires and connects to them accordingly. The Lightning-to-30-pin adapter is also provided with the device to hook up it up to legacy 30-pin peripherals.

In terms of usability, potential users simply have to tap or give the iDevice a shake to shuffle and scroll through playlists. The Genius playlist attribute in iTunes keeps the spirit of the moment alive by creating a desired stream of songs to gel with the kind of track preferred by the listener at that particular time. To double the fun, Genius Mixes can be created in iTunes to be synched to the nano.

New nano

To complement the redesigned nano, a set of new Apple EarPods have been included in the package as well. These plugs have been tailored to render a comfortable fit, extra durability and decent sound quality. The music player is drenched in 7 perky shades of green, yellow, purple, pink, silver, slate and blue.

The 16GB iPod nano 7th generation price is revealed to be $149 and it is expected to hit the Apple online store, Authorized Resellers and sales channels in October.
