iPhone 14 And iPhone 14 Pro Go Official Along With Watch Ultra, New AirPods Pro, And More

iPhone 14

In an event held in Cupertino, Apple unveiled its iPhone 14 range that’s now quite distinguished from the new iPhone 14 Pro range. The company also took the veil off other products that include the Apple Watch Series 8 range, the Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch SE, and the new AirPods Pro.

iPhone 14 models

The first thing to note is that there is no Mini model this year. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus offer 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED displays and run on last year’s A15 Bionic chip, which is still way ahead of the competition.

They feature a larger 12MP main camera offering a really wide f/1.5 aperture. The second sensor is an ultra-wide 12MP camera, while the front camera gets updated with a 12MP sensor that now offers autofocus, enabling a number of new abilities.

Two big emergency features have entered this year’s iPhones – Pro models included – in the form of crash detection satellite connectivity. Blue, Purple, Midnight, Starlight, and Product Red are the color options for these two devices.

These two high-end phones offer the same display sizes but their Super Retina XDR OLED panels are much brighter, peaking at 2000 nits. Their notch has not transformed into a pill Apple calls Dynamic Island. It neatly integrates itself into the interface with really cool iOS 16 features. Plus, they are always-on panels.

These phones come with a new 48MP sensor, which allows 2x zoom and 4K video without Digital Zoom. There’s even a 12MP telephoto camera and 12MP ultra-wide camera, apart from the autofocus-equipped front camera. They will be sold in Silver, Space Black, Gold, and Deep Purple colors.

Apple Watch Series 8, SE, and Ultra

Apple Watch Series 8

The Apple Watch Series 8 builds upon the already-sharp capabilities of the previous-gen devices and ships with new temperature-sensing capabilities, retrospective ovulation estimates, Crash Detection, and international roaming.

As for the new Apple Watch SE, it comes with the same core Apple Watch experience that includes Activity tracking and high and low heart rate notifications. Moreover, Emergency SOS and Crash Detection also make their way into the device.

Apple Watch Ultra

Inspired by extreme activities, the Apple Watch Ultra comes with a completely new design and the biggest and brightest Apple Watch display yet. It offers a ton of distinct features, prime among them being three built-in microphones, an Action button, new bands, dual-frequency GPS, advanced running metrics, and much more.

New AirPods Pro

Apple’s new AirPods Pro offer the highly advanced new H2 chip as well as Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. These second-gen earbuds also ship with improved sound quality and noise cancellation. Moreover, they can now deliver even longer battery life and offer new volume adjusting gestures.

The new iPhone 14 starts at $799 and goes up to $999. It can be pre-ordered right now and will be released on September 16. As for the iPhone 14 Plus, it won’t arrive until October 7 and will cost between $899 to $1099.
