InFocus M810 mid-range phone unveiled for Rs 14999

The InFocus M810 mid-range handset which was unveiled in Taiwan almost a year ago, has made its debut in India for Rs 14999. One might say this is pretty steep for an outdated smartphone, but its specs are decent enough for the price it commands. Additionally, InFocus updated it with Android Lollipop before bringing it into the country.

Amazon India has gained exclusivity over the InFocus M810 and will start selling it from July 15 onward. This 4G phone is essentially a phablet, given that it features a screen measuring 5.5 inches. It runs on Android Lollipop mated to the Inlife UI, a quad core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 chip and 2GB of RAM. One of its highlights is the rear camera of 13MP which uses a Sony sensor and is accompanied by an aperture of f/2.2 and true tone LED flash.

The success enjoyed by Xiaomi in India has prompted several mobile brands to seek their fortune in the mid-range market here. And InFocus is undoubtedly one of them. The trouble is, there are so many players in this arena right now, newer brands have to work hard to distinguish themselves from the rest. From the user perspective, they generally have to face a relatively poor customer care service when buying from less established companies.
