NTES or National Train Enquiry System app: A peek into its unique attributes

Indian Railways has finally come on with a National Train Enquiry System (NTES) app which should come in useful for long-distance travelers as well as for those who commute via trains on the daily basis. It is available in Google Play Store as well as the virtual marketplace for Windows Phone tools.

The NTES app is divided into seven section covering Spot Your Train, Trains between Stations, Live Station, Train Schedule, Canceled Trains, Rescheduled Trains and Diverted Trains. The first mentioned lets you in on the scheduled and actual time of departure and arrival of your ride, apart from telling you where it is currently.

The Trains between Stations feature shows the details of all the trains running between two stops in which you’re interested. Live Station requires you to feed Indian Railways’ NTES application information on your starting point and intended destination. It will then roll out a list of trains making for the same route within the next few hours.

Train Schedule offers you a proper look at the whole schedule of any particular train running in India. You’ll need to type in the name or the code of the concerned train in the search box in order to access this data. We assume you don’t need an explanation for Diverted Trains, Rescheduled Trains and Canceled Trains since the names pretty much say it all?
