The Idea Ultra II has only just arrived in India and so has the Panasonic P31. Both of these devices are vying for a top position in the quad core budget Android market in the country and if you are confused between the two gadgets, you have landed at the right place as this comparison will definitely help you come to a conclusion. Screen and camera:
The Idea Ultra II has been fitted with a 5.5-inch IPS touchscreen of qHD resolution, while the Panasonic P31 is a 5-inch device featuring an Ultra Oleophobic coating and FWVGA resolution. Also, the former brings a 2MP webcam, while the latter makes do with a VGA one. Both smartphones are fitted with an 8MP rear snapper with auto focus and LED flash.
These companies have chosen the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS for their respective contenders and potential buyers can expect a user-friendly interface from these two gadgets. However, none of the manufacturers have said anything about a software upgrade.
The Idea device has been integrated with a quad core processor which can clock in a maximum speed of 1.3GHz and an exact same one can be found within its rival. Thanks to these components, potential buyers can look forward to improved multitasking properties and launch more than a single application at the same time.
On the memory front too, both the smartphones in question are identical. They have an entire gigabyte of RAM and their total internal storage amounts to 4GB. The latter obviously, is expandable by up to 32GB using a microSD card.
A 2500mAh battery powers the Ultra II and claims to cough up 3G talk time of about 5 hours. As for the Panasonic P31, although it employs a 2000mAh battery, it can provide 3G talk time of up to 9 hours on a single charge. The former’s maximum standby time is of about 500 hours and the latter promises to be on standby for close to 650 hours.
And it goes without saying that you can expect all the common attributes like 3G compatibility, Wi-Fi access, Bluetooth for wireless transfer and GPS for navigation amongst a number of other things. FM radio as well as music and video players are responsible for keeping users entertained while on the move.
The Idea Ultra II has been priced at Rs 12,500 and is available at the official website in shades of white and electric graphite. As for the Panasonic P31, it comes dipped in pure white and bluish black hues and has been pegged at Rs 11,990. So which one do you think is better? Do let us know.
