The iBall Slide i6516 price has surfaced and we believe the tablet will soon be available for Christmas shoppers to bag. After introducing an array of slabs in the month of October, the manufacturer hasn’t been discouraged by the approaching year-end and brings in one more Android-driven gadget.
Well, the slate has more facets than just its brand ambassador, Hrithik Roshan, popping out of a 7-inch full capacitive touchscreen display. If we were to go by the company’s word, the HD screen with IPS technology allows viewing pictures from various angles. Internally, lays a Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, while 1GB of RAM lends a hand for carrying out various tasks.
Not surprisingly, dual cameras have been embedded onto the tablet. The back panel finds itself plunked with a 2MP snapper which grants users with the privilege to click 360-degree panoramic photos. Moreover, they will be able to make video calls through the VGA webcam located on the front.
The Slide i6516 will jump out with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which may not be the latest version of the operating system, but users can still keep their fingers crossed with respect to an upgrade. Also, an HDMI port slithers onto the slab in order to help linking it with bigger screens such as an HDTV or a projector.
As many might’ve guessed by now, it comes with Bluetooth to allow wireless sharing. Wi-Fi and USB ports are few of the additional connectivity highlights the device has to offer. What’s next? The company has taken up the initiative to allow updating the system software on the go via OTA without the loss of data.
Additionally, preloaded apps like Facebook, Zomato, WhatsApp and more also exist. A 4,000mAh Li-ion battery keeps the slate running, but the precise usage or standby time is still unclear.
The iBall Slide i6516 will be sent into stores with a price tag of Rs. 7,990. Even though no specific release date has been given out, the company says it is most likely to be available this holiday season. Currently, no e-retailer holds it in stock.
