The price of the Lava Xolo A800 and its availability details have gone live via e-retailers, who are now selling the phone. At just under Rs. 12,000, the device works towards offering most required features and relishes the Android operating system.
The Lava device’s internal working is carried out under the supervision of a dual core chipset that processes at a maximum speed of 1GHz. It works in conjunction with 512MB of RAM to maintain smooth navigation and facilitate fast multitasking even while using more than one application at the same time. Unlike its predecessor, the Xolo X900 which runs Gingerbread, this phone takes advantage of Ice Cream Sandwich.
As for the display of the device, it flaunts a capacitive touchscreen that measures 4.5 inches diagonally. This qHD IPS LCD screen is said to be capable of projecting clear and vivid images in 960 X 540p resolution. Additionally, the smartphone allows users to keep their personal and professionals lives separate through the dual SIM card slots. It can support 3G on one of them and 2G on the other.
In addition to two SIM card slots, the Xolo A800 also arrives with dual cameras, one on each panel of the handset. The front-mounted 0.3MP webcam can be employed for the purpose of making video calls and capturing self portraits, while an 8MP primary shooter comes in handy for clicking images and recording movies even in low lighting conditions. The latter brings LED flash, auto focus, touch focus and a BSI sensor too.
All of these features fit into a chassis that measures 67 x 133 x 10.5 millimeters. It ships with 4GB integrated storage and gives users the option to increase it with a little assistance of a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity through the dedicated expansion slot. The Wi-Fi- and Bluetooth-certified phone has built-in GPS, a micro USB connector and a 3.5mm audio jack. It draws power from a 1600mAh lithium-ion battery for talk time of up to 5 hours in the 2G mode.
The Lava Xolo A800 can now be purchased for Rs. 11,999 via Infibeam, Flipkart and Snapdeal amongst other retailers.
