iBall Andi 4L Pulse could be the new cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 phone in India

iBall is soon to launch the Andi 4L Pulse Windows Phone 8.1 handset in India which isn’t surprising considering that it already has a nice roster of Microsoft-powered tablets in the market. The upcoming handset has reportedly landed in stores as a local retailer is now offering it for purchase.

The iBall Andi 4L Pulse is priced at Rs 4899 making it the most affordable WP8.1 handset on the market and even cheaper than the Celkon Win 400 which was launched in November. Twitter user Mahesh Telecom has posted images online where the phone’s design and specs are visible.

Design-wise, the iBall handset looks quite similar to the Celkon one and we wouldn’t be surprised if both companies sourced their units from the same OEM. The hardware employed here is nothing to write home about, but we’re certainly glad that the company used a branding different from the ‘Win’ moniker we’ve seen on Windows Phone devices from Xolo, Micromax and Celkon.

The handset offers a 4-inch TFT LCD panel with WVGA resolution and it’s powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 SOC. There’s a 5MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a front snapper as well, that’s probably rated at 0.3MP. What isn’t confirmed is whether the phone offers dual SIM card slots, but it will have HSPA 3G connectivity.
