Google My Business app will help SMBs enhance their online presence

The Google My Business application has been officially launched in India by the search giant in a bid to help SMBs in Rajasthan improve their presence online. This will allow businesses to attract more customers and also provide them with up to date information.

The Google My Business app was initially launched back in June of this year and is now being made available in India. The Economics Times is reporting citing PTI as its source that the new tool is intuitive to use and it’s compatible with mobile platforms including Android and iOS, as well as desktop.

With this tool at hand, SMBs will be able to create their own business profile online and update their information on the Google+ social network, Maps and most importantly, Google Search. All of this can be done from a single place at no cost and the app supports English and Hindi languages.

This will prove to be quite viable especially for companies that do not maintain a dedicated website. As mentioned above, My Business is currently available in Jaipur and there’s no word on whether SMBs in other locations will be able to leverage its offerings.

Google India’s head of SMB Sales, Suryanarayana Kodukulla, states that Jaipur is amongst the top 15 cities which bring in 60% of SMB business, yet their presence online is quite low. And that’s probably why the search giant has targeted companies in this specific location. Of course, a wider rollout will be on the cards and Kodukulla has also disclosed that the app has received a good response since its launch.

The Google My Business app can be downloaded via the Play store or App Store for free and more info on the tool can be found at this link.
