Those waiting to lay their hands on a new HTC phone in India can do so now. HTC has announced the availability of the HTC Legend in India. The phone aims to take the Android experience to a whole new level with its improvised HTC Sense experience.
The phone has been designed from a single block of aluminum to transform into a sleek handset. It comes with a 3.2-inch OLED HVGA display. The trackball has now been fitted with an optical joystick alongside a narrow button to enhance functionality without compromising on the look and design of the phone.

The Legend sports a 5 MP autofocus camera with LED flash to click great pictures. The handset has quiet a few innovations like once it is picked up the ringer volume goes down on its own. It comes with a GPS antenna, Wi-Fi and 3.5G connectivity, 3.5mm stereo audio jack connector and an array of multimedia entertainment services. Users can easily transfer data files, music, pictures, etc through the Bluetooth function. Furthermore, with support from Adobe Flash player, users can enjoy games and videos with utmost clarity.
The HTC Sense experience focuses on users interactions with their social world. For this, HTC has introduced a new application and widget called, Friend Stream that integrates social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Flickr into an organized updates’ flowchart. With a unified updates’ page, it becomes much easier to keep a tab on what friends and family are up to. Moreover, Friend Stream allows categorization of contacts into groups such as friends, family, work, etc.
The new HTC Sense experience has also inculcated improvements in terms of applications like the browser, email client and others. The new Sense experience includes a newsreader application and widget, and a seven-screen ‘Leap’ thumbnail view for fast and easy access to specific screens as well.
