Apart from the HTC Desire X release date which is affirmed for September, the company also disclosed that the handset is bundled with simultaneous image and video capture which also features in the One series. However, the manufacturer is yet to shed some light on the handset’s pricing details.

To begin with, this phone brings a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and the Ice Cream Sandwich platform layered with the HTC Sense 4.0a UI under one roof for smooth operations. Its facade is deployed with a 4-inch Super LCD WVGA display, while the back panel sports a 5MP AF camera that is capable of delivering decent images even in low lighting conditions. To ensure this, it offers an automatically regulating flash.

“HTC Desire X is an extension of your social life,” stated Jason Mackenzie, President, Global Sales and Marketing for HTC Corporation. “If you’re looking to enjoy and share high quality multimedia, wherever you are, this is the phone for you. It not only looks and sounds great, but also provides a super-fast, highly personal mobile experience at a great price.”

Coming back to the rear-facing snapper, it packs in an f/2.0 28mm aperture wide-angle lens, a BSI sensor and an ImageChip processor. Like most other HTC devices, users will find the Beats Audio technology included as well. The handset is compatible with wireless audio streaming via Bluetooth connectivity. On the memory front, it tags along 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via a microSD slot. The 1,650mAh battery can cough up to 600 minutes of talktime.

As mentioned above, the HTC Desire X price details haven’t been disclosed as yet, but its release date is slated to fall in September for EMEA and Asia Pacific.
