New HTC Desire 826 smartphone launched for Rs 25990 in India

The HTC Desire 826 smartphone which was launched by the Taiwanese OEM earlier this year, is reportedly making its debut in India soon. A local retailer has disclosed that the stock of the device is expected in a few days and that the phone will retail for above Rs 20000.

Of course; the said amount which was disclosed by Mahesh Telecom is the street value for the HTC Desire 826 and we’re likely to see it go official with a higher tag of around Rs 28000. The phone is the new mid-range flagship in the Desire series and it’s also the successor to the highly popular Desire 820.

The main difference between the new handset and the latter one is that the front-facing 8MP selfie camera has been swapped for an UltraPixel one. Also, the display has been upgraded from a 720p HD panel to a 1080p FHD IPS LCD. Design-wise, not much has changed in the latest HTC smartphone compared to the previous model.

There’s 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 2600mAh battery to get things up and running.
