HTC Desire 700 Dual SIM, 501 smartphones go official in Taiwan

The HTC Desire 501 and Desire 700 Dual SIM smartphones have been made official in Taiwan through the company website and we are expecting these gadgets to show up in India pretty soon. Both devices seem to fall in the mid-range category and are not likely to burn a huge hole in users’ pockets.

First up is the Desire 701 Dual SIM, a 5-inch handset that seems to have the potential to give all the quad core phablets in the entry-level category, a run for their money. It is packed within an exterior with dimensions of 145.5 x 72 x 10.3 millimeters and spurts out visuals in qHD resolution. And 8MP camera and a 2.1MP webcam can also be found on the gadget.

The Android contender has a quad core 1.2GHz processor under the hood along with 8GB onboard memory as well as 1GB of RAM and even acquires an intuitive interface through the Sense UI. It draws power from a 2100mAh battery that can cough up the juice for talk time of about 11.6 hours in the 3G mode.

Up next is the Desire 501 that flaunts a 4.3-inch touchscreen of WVGA resolution, a 2.1MP front-mounted shooter and an 8MP primary camera. The HTC Desire 700 Dual SIM and the Desire 501 smartphones are priced at NTD 13,900 (approx. Rs 29,275) and 9,900 (approx. Rs 20,850), respectively.
