Google Nexus 6P Special Edition unveiled at Rs 43999

The Google Nexus 6P Special Edition is now up for pre-orders on Flipkart, the new variant of the Huawei-made handset sporting a gold color. It’s been slapped with a Rs 43999 price tag, Rs 1000 more than the standard version which is available in grey and silver.

Other than the new gold color, the Google Nexus 6P Special Edition appears to have the same specifications as the original model. Huawei is throwing in a pre-packaged back cover to encourage sales of the handset. The phone’s Flipkart listing claims the phone will tentatively be out by December 29.

Huawei claims the Nexus 6P has done well in the Indian market and the new gold color edition caters to its niche target group. To recall, the handset maker ran into a lot of criticism on how it handled the launch of the device in India. It quickly ran out of stock during the pre-orders process and promised to vend the phone from the first week of November.
