16GB Google Nexus 5X gets cheaper at Rs 24399

The cost of the LG-manufactured Google Nexus 5X has hit a new low within 1 month of its release in India. Massive price cuts have reduced the value of the phone to Rs 24399. These discounts are only available through 3rd-party e-commerce sites, as the official store still displays the original charge of Rs 31900.

The nearly Rs 7500 drop in value should make the Google Nexus 5X more appealing to Indian consumers. The 16GB version of the handset can be bought for Rs 24399 via Flipkart and Rs 24476 through Amazon. Even the 32GB variant has seen a steep reduction in cost, going from Rs 35990 to Rs 29897 through Flipkart and Rs 29950 via Amazon.

The hefty cut will make the 5X more competitive against other mid-range handsets such as the Moto X Style. The Google handset still has the advantage of shipping with the latest Android 6.0 OS and being the 1st to get updates straight from the company. Motorola hasn’t been lax when it comes to upgrades, though, having sent out Marshmallow to its device within a month of its launch.
