Google Nexus 5 benchmark results leaked

The Google Nexus 5 smartphone’s details are not out as yet, but the device’s benchmark results have been leaked on the web and if we are to believe them, the gadget in question comes across as an impressive one. The phone seems to be on par with the iPhone 5S and manages to beat all the other flagship Android phones including the Xperia Z1 and the Galaxy S4.

The GFXBench results clearly mention that they are indeed talking about a certain Nexus 5 and naturally it will mark the launch of the new version of the Android platform. But surprisingly, it runs on Key Lime Pie and we are expecting the Mountain View-based company to change that bit to Android KitKat as soon as the device is ready to be unveiled.

As for the graphics performance of the device, it is likely to be better than most other smartphones considering that it has been integrated with the Adreno 330 GPU. Naturally, it will employ a powerful processor to ensure smooth multitasking and according to the results, it is none other than the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC capable of clocking in a speed of 2.2GHz.

We are expecting nothing less than a full HD 1080p display and although we are not sure about the screen size, earlier reports have revealed that it will have a touchscreen that’s slightly smaller than 5 inches. We got the first view of the phone when the company had announced the KitKat platform, but no other details regarding the device have been confirmed.

It was the guys at Phone Arena who noticed the benchmark results of the Google Nexus 5 on the official GFXBench website.
