FreeKall VoIP-like service is meant for devices without internet access

Some software developers in Bangalore, India have designed an application called FreeKall which works like any VoIP service, but doesn’t require you to have an internet connection on your gadget. The free of charge application is advertisement-supported which is the main reason why it is free, so if you wish to make the most of the voice-calling app, be prepared to come across ads in the middle of your conversation.

The utility is currently in the beta phase, but its users have already made over four lakh calls on it. It crashed a few times and this goes on to prove how popular FreeKall already is. A report on Economic Times reveals that the service can support over 10,000 calls at a time.

As the aforementioned website says, this is very much like trunk calls and the operator here has been replaced with cloud. So every time you wish to make a call, dial 080-67683693 and it will disconnect after a ring. Then you get a call from this number and you are asked to punch in the number you wanted to call and you can speak to the person for free. It is not the most recommended option for emergency calls.

And as we said, it supports advertisements, so instead of caller tune, you will get to listen to ads. Also, after every two minutes, both you and the person you are talking to will have to listen to these ads. It’s a small price to pay for free calls. As of now, the maximum a person can speak for free is 12 minutes and very soon there will be no time limit.

As we said, FreeKall is currently in the testing stages and its stable version should be released soon.
