Android device users can now look forward to more features on Mozilla’s mobile web browser as Firefox for Android has now received an update. This upgrade has been developed with the aim of making HTML5-based web apps as easy to use as native apps.

Through this upgraded version of Mozilla Firefox, Android users are enabled to bookmark any website and add it to the Android homescreen from where they can launch the domain in question with just a single click. The highlightes feature of the update is the Master Password feature which adds support to one master password for aiding users in encrypting saved usernames and passwords for enhanced security.

There are apparently more than 160 add-ons for Firefox for mobile and the numbers keep getting higher. The add-ons should lend users a helping help with customizing thebrowser in a quick and easy manner. Mozilla claims that the overall performance of its browser app for Android has improved considerably too.

The incorporated Tabs feature lets users experience the convenience of tabbed browsing while on the move. The Personas feature allows users to dress up the browser windows in a way they find appealing including changing the color and design, among other things.

The Sync functionality gives users access to the browser history, bookmarks, passwords and open tabs from any Android device. For frequent travelers, there is also the location-aware browsing functionality by which users receive relevant information about their current region.

The updated Mozilla Firefox for Android app can now be downloaded for free from the Android Market.
