Members of the popular social networking website have much more to look forward to as the Facebook app for Android recently received an update. According to the official Facebook blog, various features have been tweaked to make the networking process an easier and faster affair.

Android smartphone and tablet users can now enjoy a quicker and simpler process of viewing photo albums. With this update, members can now see pictures at a rate that is apparently two times faster than the original speed of the app. It is also possible to share pictures, read comments and edit captions at a quicker pace, while on the move.

The blog also states that users will now be able to see their messages and notifications at the top of the app’s screen. The updated version allows them to remain updated and respond to friends without having to leave the page they are currently browsing. A new left-hand menu has been introduced in this upgrade, by which Android mobile device owners can quickly access their news feed, groups, games and apps. In this way, the most frequently used features can be reached by users in a much faster manner than before.
