The Everyme app for Android has finally arrived after the iOS counterpart was released not too long ago. This software is basically built along the lines of social networking apps and it allows sharing restrictions to be set for specific Circles.
The group can comprise everyone covering friends, best buddies, co-workers or parents. The idea is to share information just within the group that is labeled in the Circle. Essentially, it’s like a private news feed for a specific set of people, and it extends no security qualms. Moreover, the Circle can be generated from the address book itself and does not require a new service for members to receive the concerned user’s updates.
Once the group is created, users can rest assured that the stories they share will be read by the members only without any third party involvement. People who don’t wish to trouble themselves with Circles can make use of the Magic Circles attribute instead. With Magic Stories dropping by, users should never miss out on important dates like a friend’s birthday or promotion, considering the feature covers updates.
As an added advantage, people with just about any phone or an email address can reply to the stories shared via mails and texts sent to them by users of the Everyme app for Android. To make Circles appear distinct or easily organize them, they can be tagged with a cover photo of a family portrait or a group of friends and so on.
As the developers state in a post on the official Everyme blog, the app has been tailored to take advantage of ICS features like photo gallery integration, action bar and swipe navigation. It is compatible with Android 2.2 or higher devices. Apart from this, the Everyme app for iPhone v1.5 has landed, bringing in attributes like Instagram integration, live photo filters, mention alerts and Export Data.
The Everyme app for Android may be downloaded via Google Play. The iPhone v1.5 edition can be picked up via iTunes.
