iBall Andi 3.5 KKe Genius, Winner Dual-SIM phones launched

The dual SIM iBall Andi 3.5 KKe Genius and Andi 3.5 KKe Winner which were launched last month have been officially launched in India for sub-Rs 4000. But the Moto E that’s priced at Rs 6999 needn’t be concerned since it has the Motorola name backing it and iBall is, well, iBall.

The Nokia X lineup, Moto E and Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus releases show the blooming low-end handset market for what it really is – an attempt to blow feature phones into oblivion. The iBall Andi 3.5 KKe Genius and Winner are just two more contenders in this hunt-to-extinction tournament.

Both phones share all but one specification; the Andi Genius can deliver 2G and 3G support, while the Andi Winner can only go as high as 2G. It is also impossible to tell them apart from each other, based on their appearance alone.

iBall Andi 3.5 KKe Genius and Winner features list:

– Dual core 1.3GHz Cortex A7 processor
– 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen
– Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS
– 256MB RAM, 2GB internal memory
– 32GB microSD card expandability
– 3.2MP main camera w/ flash, VGA webcam
– 2G, 3G support (Genius)
– Only 2G connectivity (Winner)
– Dual SIM dual standby
– 1250mAh battery

A 1.3GHz dual core processor from MediaTek powers each handset, thus explaining how the manufacturer was able to keep the cost of the phones low in spite of a front camera being present. But these devices work on a pitiful 256MB of RAM and the Android Jelly Bean OS.

The iBall Andi 3.5 Kke Winner can be grabbed for Rs 3,999 and the Andi 3.5 KKe Genius carries a price tag of Rs 3,499.
