The Coolpad Dazen Note 3 is set to hit the Indian market soon, and will be the Chinese brand’s third budget offering in the country. There’s no specific pricing or release date available yet, but it’s been confirmed the phablet is valued below Rs 10000 and will be available via Snapdeal.
The highlight of the phone is its fingerprint scanner. The company is touting the Coolpad Dazen Note 3 as the cheapest handset in the world having this feature. The device was launched in China last week and received over 2.6 million pre-orders in a span of 7 days. The company’s previous Dazen 1 had enjoyed a similar response in India, getting over 1 lakh registrations and selling 10000 units in seconds.
The specs of the phone follow the unofficial mandate set down by all mid-range smartphones these days, premium features at an affordable cost. The Dazen Note 3 has a 5.5-inch IPS 720p display and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Varun Sharma, the manufacturer’s CEO in India, hinted that the handset might have 3GB of RAM, as opposed to the 2GB the Chinese version contains.

The Coolpad smartphone has a 13MP rear snapper with LED flash and auto focus. It is paired with a 5MP front camera for selfies. Both have a CMOS sensor for better image quality. The dual-SIM device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and a 3000mAh battery. It contains 16GB of ROM, expandable up to 64GB, and supports 4G LTE. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
