Users can pick from a vast variety of colors on the company’s site. They are also shown how their smartphone will look once colored so that users get a fair idea of how exactly they want their iPhone to look. Colorware paints the frame, back, main button, SIM card tray and earbuds of the Apple handset.
The colors come in multiple shades of different categories such as solid, metallic and pearl. There is also an option of gloss, original or soft touch finish. The front panel is not painted and maintains the same color. Adventurous users can mix and match various hues for different parts and create their own personalized smartphone.
The much in demand iPhone 4S runs on the new iOS 5 operating system and comes equipped with an 8MP camera that allows users to shoot videos in 1080p HD. Possessing an A5 chip, the device integrates the Siri intelligent assistant along with a Retina Display.
Colorware will paint the 16GB iPhone 4S for a price of $1,500 and the 64GB model will be colored at $1,700. The smartphone will be shipped within four to six weeks and those residing in USA can send their handsets to the design studio for $275.
