At the recently held CTIA Enterprise and Applications trade show, PhoneGuard released two new platforms, Personal Security and Text Responsibly. These are available for PhoneGuard, Family, Family Pro and Enterprise.
The Personal Security platform comes with features such as Panic Button, Speed Control and GeoFencing. A pre-selected and programmed emergency call function, Panic Button can be activated by the mere tap of a button. It instantly provides users’ GPS location to the person receiving the call. Speed Control displays text message alerts as well as the location and speed of users’ mobile phone to the handset’s administrator. The GeoFencing functionality lets the phone’s administrator define geographic boundaries and receive a text message if the phone wanders out of its limits.

The Text Responsibly functionality has been developed to keep family members and employees safe while out and about. It includes Text Block which prevents users from texting while driving. Permission Request enables users to ask for permission from the administrator to acquire functionality of the mobile phone. While the Remember Pass Code feature lets the phone bypass the login for all administrative functions, Admin Control enables the input of new administrative phone numbers and deletion of old ones by the administrator.
While the PhoneGuard application is available for free from the App Store, the PhoneGuard Family suite of apps is priced at $4.99 a year and the PhoneGuard Family Pro comes at an annual price of $19.99.
