Windows Mobile based smartphones are highly appreciated globally. Now, China Mobile is all set to unveil its first Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone christened HTC Qilin. The smartphone retailed under HTC’s Dopod brand, will be known as T8388, reports Techfresh.
Reportedly, the Windows Mobile powered device is equipped with 600MHz TI OMAP 3430 processor. To speed up the performance of the mobile phone packages 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM. The HTC T8338 comes with a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus functionality, placed at the rear side. Apart from this camera, the mobile phone also sports a VGA front camera. The China Mobile handset featuresa 3.6-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels.
The HTC Dopod handset packages several connectivity features including Wi-Fi 802.11g and GSM/GPRS/EDGE. Moreover, the smartphone is also attuned with China’s own 3G technology known as TD-SCDMA. Apparently, the device might incorporate microSD memory card slot. The mobile phone supposedly bears remarkable resemblance with HTC WhiteStone.
There is no official word on the pricing and availability details of the HTC Dopod T8388. However, the smartphone may hit the stores by Q4 2009.
