Celkon XION S CT695 with 6.9-inch display gets released in India for Rs 7299

The Celkon XION S CT695is basically a phablet that’s designed for those who want a tablet-size display wrapped around a smartphone form factor. The device has been officially unveiled in India and it carries a 6.95-inch touchscreen with a price tag of Rs 7299.

For the said amount, you’ll certainly get a mid-range smartphone with an HD display and a quad core processor. But that’s not the case with the Celkon XION S CT695 as you’ll be compromising on performance for the extra screen real estate.

The device will go up against multiple 7-inch voice calling tablets that fall in the same price range like the Lava QPAD R704 and the iBall Slide D20 amongst others. The display used here is a 1024 x 600 pixel LCD panel which is acceptable, but the processor is just a 1.2GHz dual core Cortex A7 one with Mali 400 graphics.

That’s certainly disappointing since the competition offers quad core chips. In the memory department, there’s 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The phablet also has dual SIM slots with 3G connectivity, Android 4.4 KitKat, a VGA front camera and a 5MP rear snapper. The battery here is of 2500mAh capacity and that’s pretty low for a device of such size.

You’ll find a small compilation of the Celkon XION S CT695’s key specs below:

– 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 32GB expandable
