The latest app to be updated with new features is the Box for iPhone and iPad. The cloud storage provider has announced the upgrade through its official blog and the new version called 2.5.1 now allows users to upload pictures and videos.

Featuring a totally new code base, the refreshed app now enables tech enthusiasts to publish video clips and photos directly from their iOS devices to the Box account by creating folders. The blog states that this makes it easier to share files quickly while on the move and keep the content stored in an organized and safe manner in the cloud.

Accessing the cloud while offline, has become a simpler affair with this update. Users are allowed to tag folders as well as single files as favorites for employing them when not online. This makes it easier to open the documents at any given time. It could specially be of use to those who are constantly on the move, leading busy lifestyles.

One of the new features that version 2.5.1 has brought along is the full-text search functionality which enables iPad and iPhone owners to gain access to their content in a smoother and faster way. It is now possible to seek individual files or folders through just a few taps, even while dealing with numerous colleagues and terabytes of information at a time.
