The BLU Studio 5.3 II and Tank 4.5 price has been set at $199 and both handsets will be sold unlocked through numerous online portals in the US. The introduction of these phones comes soon after the company launched the Quattro series.
The 5.3 II encloses a 5.3-inch qHD display and a 2MP camera on the front panel. The device also houses an 8MP autofocus main lens that comes with dual LED flash and can be used for 720p video recording. The 2100mAh battery capacity should provide consumers with a day’s worth of usage.
The manufacturer claims that the Tank 4.5 would be able to endure diverse conditions as the body is designed in such a manner that makes it resistant to dust, sand and water. The handset has a depth of just 9.7mm and according to the company, this makes it one of the slimmest water-proof phones. For capturing images and videos, the maker has granted a 5MP rear snapper and a front-facing lens of unspecified quality. A 1760mAh battery has also been included in this sturdy device.
Running on the Jelly Bean platform, these dual SIM phones are driven by a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor and also possess a PowerVR SGX Series5 GPU that would make multitasking easier. In addition to this, the devices provide connectivity through HSDPA which should provide faster internet speeds. A decent internal storage space of 4GB is offered which can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD slot.
The recently launched Quattro series which includes the 4.5 HD and the 5.7 HD comes with the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and run on 1.5GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processors. While the former is endowed with a storage capacity of 16GB the latter contains an internal memory of 4GB.
Both devices are available for $199 in the US and buyers can lay their hands on these phones through multiple retailers soon.
