RIM has officially launched a new social-centric phone that goes by the name BlackBerry Curve 9320. The smartphone carries all the networking essentials including BBM over a global 3G network.

With QWERTY keypads being a highlight in RIM devices, this entrant features the same along with a dedicated BBM button and a qVGA 2.44-inch display. It is integrated with FM radio that does not require any sort of data service or plan for access. Under the hood, the 1450mAh battery is touted to offer nearly 7 hours of talk time and approximately 30 hours of music or radio playback.

“The new BlackBerry Curve 9320 is designed to make it incredibly easy for users to stay socially-connected. The new BlackBerry Curve 9320 will be especially popular with customers upgrading to a smartphone for the first time and existing Curve customers looking for a step up in speed and functionality,” commented Carlo Chiarello, EVP, Smartphone Business at Research In Motion.

Built primarily for socializing, the phone arrives preloaded with Facebook and Twitter apps. The well known Social Feeds 2.0 that brings multiple sites on one platter stays in place. The smartphone is equipped with a 3.2MP snapper offering flash and the ability to tag images with locations due to the built-in GPS functionality. It carries 512MB RAM and 32GB expandable memory. The BlackBerry 7.1 OS runs the entire show that brings in features like Wi-Fi calling, Mobile Hotspot and Parental Control.

The BlackBerry Curve 9320 release date and price have not received a mention at present.
