Sprint has introduced the new push-to talk RIM Blackberry Curve 8350i. A recent announcement by Sprint reveals the incorporation of RIM’s messaging and hardware solutions with Sprints IDEN network technology in the form of the Blackberry Curve 8350i.

The smartphone should bring a smile to the face of Nextel Direct Connect customers. This combination promises users nearly instant communication with an option of setting up group conversations with up to 20 other participants.

David Chamberlain, In-Stat’s principal analyst, commented, “Smartphones in general and BlackBerry products in particular, have become more important to both business people and consumers lately. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i with PTT capability rounds out Sprint’s options to fill communications needs of many industries particularly those in the blue-collar segment of the construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.”

Sporting an integrated Wi-Fi for great internet browsing along with push corporate e-mail, the smartphone also boasts of a built-in GPS. Equipped with a 2 megapixel camera with digital zoom and flash, other attributes of the Blackberry Curve 8350i includes a Bluetooth 2.0, latest BlackBerry OS 4.6 and features DataViz Documents to Go, an improved media player and a microSD expansion slot. It also comprises of a speakerphone optimized for the PTT service.

The device comes with the largest battery life that RIM has offered till date with a 1,400mAh lithium-ion battery. The device is expected to be out by the end of this year, though there’s no official word on the price or the exact release date.
