Beetel GD-470 enters the touchscreen mobile phone market in India

Beetel GD-470 Phone Beetel has ventured into the touchscreen mobile phone market with the release of the GD-470 in India. Introducing the 2.8-inch full touch device, the company describes the design to cater to needs of consumers looking for an affordable handset.

Specific features of this handset include a 1.3MP camera, FM radio, video and music players, and external memory expandable up to 8GB.The India-centric design of this phone is also highlighted by the Indian calendar feature, which displays dates and tithis of the Indian festivals. Additional features of the phone allow its usage as a modem for internet connectivity.

“The Beetel GD 470 is our first touch screen mobile phone and we have put tremendous efforts to provide all the necessary features at an extremely competitive price-point. This dual SIM mobile phone runs on a 1000mAh battery and offers a talk time of 3 to 4 hours while a standby time of up to 200 hours. The video player supports formats like .3gp, .avi, and .mp4 while music files like .midi, .amr, .wav, as well as .mp3 can be played. Also, its Beetel World service gives access to several entertaining features like Facebook, Snaptu, Mig 33, Yahoo, ibibo, Vuclip, Reuters, Hungama and Penguin.

The Beetel GD-470 touchscreen mobile phone is now available in India for a price of Rs. 3300.
