Since we don’t see handsets running on Windows Phone and operating on the 4G LTE network every other day, the all new AT&T Samsung Focus 2 is obviously worth a mention. Another high point is its rather affordable price tag of $49.99 under a 2-year agreement.

Being the South Korea-based manufacturer’s first hand at the Windows Phone 7.5 OS with 4G LTE, it should receive a fair share of attention. Needless to say, apps like SkyDrive and Microsoft Office Mobile are at potential users’ disposal. It arrives with integrated Bing Search that should help locating places with ease. Additionally, there are some attributes dedicated to text-to-speech and speech-to-text technologies which enable hands-free messaging encounters.

“AT&T offers our customers the broadest Windows Phone portfolio of any carrier, with three 4G LTE Windows Phones – the only 4G LTE Windows Phones in the U.S. – now at a variety of price points and form factors. The Samsung Focus 2 brings the people-first Windows Phone interface together with AT&T’s fast 4G LTE network for an unbeatable experience,” commented Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility.

On the hardware angle, there’s a 4-inch Super AMOLED display stretched across the front and a 5MP snapper on the back panel. The primary camera is capable of recording videos in up to 720p HD resolutions. Let’s not forget, there’s a front-facing VGA snapper for video conferencing purposes too. Tipping the scales at 4.3oz, the device’s profile is cut thin to just about 10.98mm.

The AT&T Samsung Focus 2 release date and price details are marked at May 20 and $49.99, correspondingly. There’s hardly any need to mention that the customer contract and data plans will tag along. It will be available in a glossy pure white color.
