AT&T lets you connect to your mom anywhere in the world

AT&T Logo and Text May 10th is celebrated as Mother’s Day in many countries across the world. It was reported by AT&T that during Mother’s Day 2008 the volume of international wireless calling rose by around 26 percent. It is expected that this year again many customers will call their mothers in large numbers to utter words of love and gratitude to them.

Now AT&T customers can take advantage of its offer to stay connected to mom in the U.S. and around the world. AT&T World Connect offers a convenient and affordable way for customers to keep in touch with their mothers outside the U.S. at discounted rates. This offer is available for only $3.99 per month. Users can dial internationally from the U.S. to over 220 countries directly from their wireless phones. Rates can range from $.08 per minute to the U.K. and can cost up to $0.09 per minute to countries such as Mexico, Germany, Japan, France, Israel, etc.

One of the most ‘traveled to’ as well as the most ‘frequently called’ countries’ continues to be Mexico. There exists a plan that offers great discounted rates whether you call or travel to Mexico. The plan is the AT&T Mexico plan which costs $4.99 per month. This plan means that customers placing calls from U.S. to Mexico pay $0.09 per minute to a landline. If the call is placed to a wireless device, the cost is $0.25 per minute. While traveling in Mexico, the discounted call rates are only $0.59 per minute.

Users need to simply place the call to the international locations from their AT&T mobile devices. All they have to do is key in the “+” sign (or 011), then the country code and local number. Pressing and holding the “0” key will cause the “+” sign to appear.
