Apple iPhone 5S pictured in Gold, may welcome internal storage of 128GB

Heard of the Apple iPhone 5S splashed with gold, right? That may just about be the real deal with purported pictures of the forthcoming smartphone slapped all over the news. But no matter what posture the device has held in the leaked images, there doesn’t seem to be a single Apple logo anywhere in sight. Apparently, that’s supposed to be intentional.

Guess that’s our cue to take these details with a considerable grain of salt. But the image looks quite appealing, especially to eyes that have seen the manufacturer sculpt nothing but black and white devices for the longest of time. The pictures come courtesy of Engadget which had spotted the photos on a French website iPhone.fr, although these have originated through MacBoutic.

Gold Apple iPhone 5S

It looks like Ming-Chi Kuo has more information up his sleeve concerning the smartphone. The KGI analyst has chosen the folks over at AppleInsider as his medium to impart his predictions, indicating the inclusion of 128GB of built-in storage space. If we were to believe him, a 4-inch screen will be seen dominating the handset’s front panel, concealed under which there’s a Cortex A7 SoC bagging 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

This design which is based on ARMv8 architecture ought to boost the efficiency by 20 percent, the analyst pointed out. While the device’s camera sensor is said to stay put, the snapper will adopt a larger f2.0 aperature lens and come with dual LED flashes.

So there may either be some truth to the gold-hued iPhone 5S and we hope there is, because it’s about time the company strays away from the traditional black or white. Keenly waiting for September 10.
