According to I4U, recently a Facebook app was spotted on the myTouch website. Additionally, there also is a Rachael UI video doing the rounds that displays the Facebook app being utilized on Sony Ericsson’s new Android smartphone. This sparked rumors that there is a likelihood of a Facebook app finally launching for Android.
The two companies – Google and Facebook – share a strained relationship. Almost all the smartphones out there such as iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Sony Ericsson, etc. possess a Facebook application.
Android smartphones don’t feature the application and it has been reported that they are not going to feature it for a long time. However, this could be a thing of the past if the current rumors prove to be true. Although, this news is still awaiting confirmation, it is safe to say that the Android Market will receive a Facebook app sooner rather than later.
