EpicTilt has rolled out the TapStar game for the iPhone. It is a rhythm game all set to grace the Apple App Store. The company has partnered with Sony Music Entertainment to offer exclusive entertaining music in the game.

It integrates tracks from big artists like Britney Spears, Cheap Trick, Cyndi Lauper, John Mayer, Los Lonely Boys, Sarah McLachlan, Three Days Grace, and P!nk. The game allows participants to play at different levels from the superstar artists and showcase their music skills to friends while competing for high scores.

Jonathan Zweig, CEO of EpicTilt mentioned, “TapStar represents the fruit of our labor to understand exactly what an iPhone or iPod Touch user wants in a music game. We’ve had a number of successful apps on the App Store thus far, with well over ten million downloads on the iPhone and iPod Touch, and we believe that casual gamers and music lovers will enjoy TapStar and make it an iconic app.”

Users can store desired samples and play along a variety of recordings from Sony Music along with purchasing tracks through the iTunes Store. The game utilizes the Multi-Touch user interface which allows users to effortlessly navigate the four touch points located at the corners of the screen.

They can attain a unique landscape view layout by naturally controlling the game. As the player’s agility increases with all four corners, the game becomes difficult with additional complex rhythmic patterns and combos. Players can have an accurate playback experience with the powerful gaming engine along with high resolution and smooth graphics.

Users can get their hands on the TapStar game through the Apple Store on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
