Motorola has introduced its latest smartphone the Motorola Milestone powered by Android 2.1. The Milestone hopes to set a benchmark by showcasing how fast, smart and multi-tasking a smartphone needs to be with features like vibrant mobile web experience, improved messaging and top notch multi-media features. Being powered by Android 2.1, the phone enables the user to work on multiple applications at the same time.

The features in the phone are worth mentioning. It sports a 3.7-inch widescreen display, a hi-speed cortex A8 processor, 5MP camera with dual LED flash, Auto focus and image stabilizer, pinch and zoom or double tap zoom option. The data in the phone can be easily shared across desktops, phones or the web via Motorola Media Link and Motorola Phone Portal. It comes with a stereo Bluetooth/ BT 2.1, USB 2.0, a 3.5mm headset jack and crystal talk for enhanced voice call clarity.

Faisal Siddiqui also adds that as an Android phone, the Milestone is able to perform functions that other smartphones fail to. The phone was engineered specifically to augment customer experiences via full screen web browsing, easy swapping between applications and suite of Google applications like Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube. Furthermore, users can even download applications and widgets from the Android Market.

The phone comes preloaded with voice-guided street-level navigable maps of 401 cities in India which can be accessed by the user anytime, anywhere at no charge. This feature allows the user to explore India with utmost ease and comfort. The user needs to launch ‘India’ maps from the MOTONAV application to enjoy an unparalleled navigation experience. This GPS based service comes free of cost and is independent of mobile network providers, which allows the user to utilize it without a SIM card, as the maps are installed in the handset directly.

The phone will be available at specific outlets in specified cities around the country, and can be purchased for Rs. 32,990.
