Nuance slides out T9 Trace touch input technology for phones

Nuance T9 Trace Touchscreen devices are fast making a mark for themselves in the global market. According to a report by Strategy Analytics, touchscreen devices are growing at a pace of almost 30 percent a year and will reach approximately 500 million devices by 2014. With the growing trend of touchscreens, people are becoming finicky about the ways of sending quick text messages and emails, instant messaging and other activities. Keeping all this in mind, Nuance has announced the launch of Nuance T9 Trace, an uninterrupted touch input technology designed exclusively for touchscreen phones.

With T9 Trace, users can key in words faster, simply by gliding their finger from one letter to another either on the touchscreen QWERTY keypad or the 12-key keypad without using a stylus or any other tool. Nuance T9 Trace grants mobile device manufacturers the latest in continuous touch input accessible with an array of mobile phones they present in the market, and will be available as an addition to Nuance XT9’s text capabilities.
