American Megatrends India adds MAG (Mobile Applications Group) to its existing portfolio of specializing in PC hardware and firmware in Chennai.
The new division restates AMI India’s continuous efforts to its ODMs (Original Device Manufacturer) and OEMs (original equipment manufacturer) with customized solutions to match up to the existing craze in the Android and Windows Mobile platforms.
“The initiative was established with an aim to empower AMI India to cater to the clients and customers spread across the APAC region. Our professionals in India will play critical roles in developing world-class solution and products which will be required to excel in internet appliances,” stated Sanjoy Maity – Vice President of Software Engineering, American Megatrends Inc.
MAG promises to offer Server based services to emphasize on Mobile and Internet solutions specifically for the convergence. AMI India’s solution will currently witness the convergence of Android-based smartphones, netbooks and handheld solutions.
The new division was delivered to users at an event held on November 16, in Chennai. AMI was launched in India in June 2004 and employs around 220 professionals nationwide.
