iPhone user? You’re more quick-witted than Android or other smartphone fans

iPhone users are apparently more quick-witted than than those who own other smartphones, according to a recent survey. This ‘information’ comes from a rather dubious source, so you can ignore your iPhone friends who’ve been sticking with a smug, self-satisfied expression on their faces ever since they heard the story.

The verdict was based on a brainteaser put out by Ladbrokes, a website facilitating online betting and gaming. The results apparently showed that iPhone users replied to seven questions within 94 seconds. Folks owning Google Nexus handsets managed to do the same after 5 extra heartbeats, that’s in 99 seconds.

A Samsung buff is said to have cracked the quiz in 47 seconds, while BlackBerry users needed 118 seconds on an average to do it. This does not make sense. Call us biased if you want to, but you’d have to be really lame and/or an Apple fanboy to think of the iPhone as the best handset in the history of mankind.

OEMs working with Google’s open source mobile OS are offering some equally competitive smartphone alternatives. How can stubbornly preferring an iDevice mean you’re quick-witted? We’re finding it hard to believe the story considering the fake AptiQuant study which labeled Internet Explorer users as ‘dumb’ and ‘hesitant to update or change their browsers,’ that broke out in 2011.

Daily Star, which carries the post hasn’t offered a link to the Ladbrokes page hosting a presser related to the survey. If the goal was for the latter to simply get as many eyeballs as possible, it probably worked out fine.
