A new gaming peripheral dubbed as the 60beat GamePad controller has been launched with an aim to entice gaming fanatics owning iOS devices such as the iPad or iPhone. It claims to give players a thorough game console experience through their Apple smartphones and tablets.

Owners can plug the GamePad controller into the headphone jack of the iOS device using the standard 3.5 mm audio connector to get started with their gaming session. According to Ubergizmo, when connected to the iPad or iPhone, it transforms them into a fully-featured handheld game controller. This peripheral boasts of 10 action buttons constructed from hard resin plastic, out of which two are situated on the joysticks itself.

The device comes dressed in a milky white color and is integrated with black dual analog joysticks. This 60beat accessory does not require any batteries as it operates via the iOS device which provides the power supply. This will eliminate the hassle of changing dying batteries and interrupting playtime during marathon game sessions.

The handheld tool has been designed with an ergonomic exterior which supposedly offers utmost comfort, control and convenience while indulging in various titles. It is capable of functioning smoothly with all 60beat GamePad compatible games such as Bugdom 2 and Aftermath. Users can download a whole suite of other supported titles that will be available in the App Store from February 2012. Furthermore, the new gadget features 3 menu buttons and a D-Pad.
