NTT DoCoMo, INC. unraveled its lineup of 18 new handsets for launch on or after May 22 depending on the model type. DoCoMo’s four main series of FOMA 3G handsets, namely, docomo STYLE series, docomo SMART series, docomo PRO series, docomo PRIME series and the new Evangelion Phone based on a forthcoming anime film are included in this lineup.
The following is a brief outline of the new models and their planned launches. The docomo STYLE series has unique mobile phones which are on hand in a variety of fashionable designs and colors for individuals who like sporting the latest “look”. The F-08A which is due to be released in June 2009 is striking to look at, has a softly contoured body with waterproofing for safe operation up to 1.5 meters underwater. The L-04A which is to be released between June to July 2009 is a sophisticated and artistically clean slider phone with a pressure-sensitive touchscreen. Then there is the N-08A with a release date between May to June 2009 with its elegantly slim body, colorfully lit up keypad and powerful 8.1-megapixel camera for crisp images.
Releasing between June to July 2009 is the P-08A with its swing/slider functionalities, offers an 8.1-megapixel camera for beautiful photos and presents a stylishly ergonomic body. The P-10A is going to be released in June 2009 and has a wide landscape screen and waterproof body for enjoyment of mobile TV in kitchen or bath. Having a chic three-tone body with waterproof versatility and high-grade CCD 8-megapixel camera is the SH-05A to be released in June 2009.
The docomo SMART series include sophisticated mobile phones that can be used by busy people who want to live effectively and improve the management of all spheres of their lives. The N-09A to be released in June 2009 is a slim, stylishly urbane phone with 8.1-megapixel camera for crisp images and improved functions for work and after-hours. The P-09A also to be released in June 2009 is a versatile, 12.5-mm phone with proprietary technology for extra-clear, natural voice output.
The docomo PRO series has three phones under it which are the most advanced high-spec mobile phones. It is for those who love cutting-edge digital tools and always require the newest, hottest technologies. The HT-03A is an Android OS phone optimized for Google’s mobile services with Wi-Fi, touchscreen, trackball and much more. It is going to be unveiled somewhere between June to July 2009. The SH-07A is an AQUOS phone which receives two mobile TV channels at the same time and easily links to Blu-ray recorders. The T-01A which is due between June to July 2009 is a super-slim 9.9-mm phone with a large 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen for enhanced browsing.
The docomo PRIME series of phones are full-featured mobile phones that allows users to enjoy variety of games, video and other entertainment by people who love to discover the latest multimedia. The F-09A is a high-spec slider phone and sports a large 3.4-inch two-way touchscreen. The L-06A Touchscreen phone has a dedicated Google key for quick sharing of videos and pictures. The N-06A is a Wi-Fi-equipped phone with two-way touchscreen and 8.1-megapixel camera that allows crisp images to be taken. The N-07A July 2009 is a hardy phone which features sporty design, content and applications meant for athletic users. The P-07A VIERA phone has a large 2-inch sub-display and multi-mode 8.1-megapixel camera. The SH-06A, a high quality camera phone, has CCD 10-megapixel resolution and an advanced photo-processing engine.
Finally the Evangelion Phone, SH-06A NERV, that appears in the soon to be released anime film Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
