Vivo X6, Vivo X6 Plus with 4GB RAM, 13MP camera launched

The Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus have been launched in China, with the handsets set to start retailing from December 7. There’s no word yet on whether the phones will be released in India.

Both the Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus are full-metal devices made out of an aluminum-magnesium alloy. The former is priced at CNY 2600 (about Rs 27000) off-contract and costs CNY 2500 (roughly Rs 26000) with a contract. The latter can be bought for CNY 3200 (approx Rs 33200) unlocked or CNY 3000 (around Rs 31000) with a contract.

Vivo X6 Plus

Taking a closer look at the specs of the dual-SIM Vivo X6, the handset features a 5.2-inch super AMOLED 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with a pixel density of 424ppi. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a layer of FunTouch OS on top. It’s backed by a 2400mAh battery and contains 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB.

The 4G-ready Vivo smartphone carries a 13MP rear camera with 6P lens, phase detection auto focus (PDAF), an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash. There’s also an 8MP fixed-focus selfie snapper on-board. The device’s daily operations are powered through a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor coupled with a Mali-T760 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

Coming to the Vivo X6 Plus, the handset boasts of similar features compared to the X6. The differences lie in its 5.7-inch screen, 64GB of ROM, 3000mAh battery, Yamaha YSS-205X Hi-Fi chip and dedicated amp. Both phones additionally come with a fingerprint scanner on its back, which can apparently unlock the devices within 0.4 seconds.

The Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus will be sold in rose, gold and silver colors. We’ll keep you informed if the brand decides to release the phones in India.
