Smart SQ718 3G voice-calling tablet unveiled at Rs 8999

Creative Peripherals has launched a voice-calling tablet called the Smart SQ718 3G in India priced at Rs 8999. The device will be available at 15 Tier 1 and 2 markets across the country.

The Smart SQ718 3G tablet is the first product to be launched under Creative’s Smart sub-brand. It’s aimed at the youth and the affordable market segment. The offering ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and packs a 3000mAh battery, which is supposed to last for an entire day of usage on a single charge.

The dual-SIM Creative tablet sports a 7-inch WSVGA (600 x 1024p) IPS screen with a pixel resolution of roughly 202ppi. Under the hood, it’s fueled by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor. Coming to its memory capacity, it contains 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal space.

Buyers can add up to 128GB of additional room through a microSD card slot. The brand has further equipped the gadget with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash. Selfies and video calls are taken care of with a 2MP front-facing shooter. Connectivity options consist of Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, USB OTG, Wi-Fi and GPS.

The Smart SQ718 3G is available only in a black color. Like we mentioned above, it costs Rs 8999.
