The DJI Osmo handheld camera has been launched for Indian markets and will start retailing from Rs 69990. It will be available in 10 cities across the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Surat. Buyers can also opt to ship it via SSTPL, the brand’s official distributor.
The DJI Osmo has been equipped with a 3-axis advanced stabilization system to eliminate hand movements in 3 directions in order to output video which is completely free of shakiness or wobbling. The device is backed by a 980mAh battery, which the brand claims is capable of enduring for 60 minutes of video recording.
There are 3 camera options for the DJI device namely the Zenmuse X3, Zenmuse X5 Pro and Zenmuse X5 Raw. The 1st comes with a 12MP snapper, 4K video recording capability, a 1/2.3-inch sensor and a 94-degree field-of-view lens. The other two have 16MP shooters and a 4/3-inch sensor.
The Osmo additionally ships with a microSD slot which supports cards up to 64GB and a 3.5mm port to plug in an external microphone. An automatic panorama mode can be activated by raising the gadget up and pressing the shutter button. The camera will swivel on its own and capture 3 photos to combine together.
There’s also support for timelapse and hyperlapse videos, in addition to tripod-free handheld long exposures for up to 2 seconds. An attached phone holder allows users to utilize their smartphones as a viewfinder. Buyers will have to download the DJI Go app, compatible with iOS and Android, to control various functions.
