Asus ZenPad tablets come to India for Rs 8999 and higher

The Asus ZenPad series that was unveiled back in August, has now hit India in the form of three tablets, two having 7-inch screens and one arriving with an 8-inch display. The ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad C 7.0 are scheduled to be made available in late October, while the ZenPad 7.0 is up for grabs already through the company’s physical outlets and online.

Apart from making this announcement, the Taiwanese brand also revealed its intention to produce the Zenfone 2 Laser and ZenFone Go in India. It could mean cheaper devices for customers. Getting back to the ZenPad 7.0, it features a 7-inch 1280 × 800p IPS touchscreen and is powered by a 64-bit quad core Intel Atom x3-C3230 processor and 2GB of RAM.

The tablet has 16GB of ROM and microSD card support for 64GB of extra hoarding room. It has an 8MP AF camera on the back and a 2MP one on the front panel. It is priced at Rs 11999, though buyers can drop Rs 14999 for it and get an audio cover too. Pegged at Rs 8999, the ZenPad 7.0 C has similar specs but for its 5MP rear facing camera and 0.3MP webcam.

Last but not the least is the Asus ZenPad 8.0 for Rs 14999. It gets its steam from 2GB RAM, a 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and a 4000mAh battery. The tablet’s front is taken up by an 8-inch WXGA 1280 x 800p screen with IPS technology. It has 16GB of internal memory, and support for 128GB expandability for those who need more space.

With regards to photography, a 2MP camera can be found on its face, while an 8MP snapper rests on its rear. All three Asus ZenPad devices run on Android Lollipop.
