The Acer C720 which is a popular choice in the Chromebook series, has been made available in India at a very attractive price of Rs 15999. And that retail tag can only be found at one online retailer, namely Snapdeal, while other e-commerce websites are offering the notebook for much higher amounts.
The Acer C720 Chromebook was originally launched in India back in October for Rs 22999. The considerably lower tag is mainly due to the annual Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF) which is being hosted by Google. The notebook is a great pick for students and even business users who depend on internet services, mostly those from the search giant.
The laptop is a pretty compact one and it weighs around 1.25kg. It runs on a 64-bit Chrome OS release and is powered by a fourth generation Intel Celeron 2957U dual core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. Performance-wise, the device is capable of booting from the cold in just about seven seconds and it can deliver up to 8.5 hours of battery life on a single charge.

An 11.6-inch ComfyView LED Backlit TFT LCD with HD resolution is fitted under the lid, while a standard keyboard with a touchpad can be found on the bottom half. Acer has thrown in USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, HDMI output, an SD card reader and dual stereo speakers. Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options are also onboard along with a Crystal Eye HD webcam.
