Dell brings duo of Latitude series laptops in India for Rs 2 lakhs and higher

The Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme range of strong notebooks has just been launched in India, providing great options for those who want their gadgets to match their rough and tough lives. Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme and Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme are the two customizable tiers you can go for, and their prices start at Rs 229999 and Rs 239999, respectively.

These devices can withstand severe conditions including dust, moisture, drops, vibration, extreme temperatures and more. The bodies of the Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme notebooks make them perfect for those working in military service, manufacturing, construction, heavy industries and other such fields.

They have been tested to withstand drops from up to six feet, and have even been equipped with data protection and encryption features including TPM 1.2, Dell Data Protection, Encryption and ControlVault advanced authentication. Additionally, these Dell laptops kick in customizable RGB keyboards, native serial ports, privacy shutters on their webcams and a stealth mode.

The Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme will give you a choice between Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 dual core processors, and offer up to 16GB of RAM. Intel HD Graphics 4400 are accessible through the i3 and i5 models, while Intel HD Graphics 5000 are provided by the i7 variant. This device lends a 14-inch 1366 x 768 pixel resistive multi-touch display, and comes with a full HD webcam and number of SSD as well as battery options.

The processor, GPU and RAM choices for the Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme are same as those of the above mentioned model. Furthermore, it holds on it an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 pixel resistive multi-touch display, a full HD webcam and an 8MP rear camera with LED flash.

Both the Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme notebooks can be ordered with Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit), Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), Windows 8.1 (64-bit), Windows 7 Professional (32-bit) or Linux Ubuntu 12.04 installed on them.
