Lava Magnum X604 phablet launched in India for Rs 11999

The Lava Magnum X604 phablet for Rs 11999 has been officially launched in India and it’s being called the company’s first to feature Android v4.4 KitKat with a 6-inch touchscreen. The smartphone flaunts mid-range specs, making it a pretty tempting pick at the aforesaid price. What’s more, the company has joined hands with online retail site Snapdeal, which will exclusively sell the handset.

Lava previously partnered with Amazon India for its Iris X1 smartphone. The Lava Magnum X604 doesn’t have too many competitors priced similarly, but it will have to deal with popular and smaller mid-range handsets in the same range. The device does have an advantage as it comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat preloaded though.

The Lava X604 will offer a plain old Android experience, no complaints here, and there’s some pretty decent hardware onboard too. The touchscreen proffers HD visuals and it shares the front panel with three capacitive buttons lined along the bottom, while a 2MP camera sits above it. On the rear casing, there’s an 8MP snapper which can record videos in 1080p full HD.
